JSA Presents Grease - THURSDAY Performance
Step back into 1959 with Rydell High's favorite greasers and Pink Ladies!
When cool-guy Danny Zuko and wholesome transfer student Sandy Olsson have a romantic summer fling at the beach, neither expects to run into each other on the first day of senior year. But back at Rydell High, social expectations, peer pressure, and high school politics threaten to keep them apart. Can Danny maintain his bad-boy reputation while holding onto the girl of his dreams?
Written with unforgettable rock 'n' roll spirit by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, Grease features iconic hit songs like "Summer Nights," "Greased Lightnin'," "Beauty School Dropout," and "You're the One That I Want."
Brought to life by Jackson High School's talented cast and creative team — under the direction of Hannah Rissler, with choreography by Molly Weidig and music direction by Scott Eversdyke and Benjamin Wykoff — this high-energy production captures all the nostalgia, heart, and hand-jiving enthusiasm of the Broadway classic.
Content Warning: This production includes mild language, suggestive humor, and references to teenage relationships, peer pressure, and 1950s social norms. It also contains stylized depictions of smoking and drinking. All content has been adapted for high school performers and audiences.
